Hello Wunz World!
This past year has been the year of platform resurgence with the come back of the 70s as a heavy trend in the retro scene. A big misconception on platforms is that they must be worn in a formal manner but I want to begin by saying platforms are an everyday shoe and are capable of becoming a staple and not an “every once in a while” shoe.
From personal experience I can confidently say that platforms are the most comfortable shoes I own. Whether it be platform sandals, sneakers, or boots I always feel secure and relaxed. I don’t have the same concerns as I would with a regular high heel, I can easily go on a spontaneous adventure with friends or go out for fun in the evening unlike your everyday heel. From sweatpants to flared jeans to midi skirts there’s not much that won’t look spectacular with a thick platform sandal, they’re truly a mediator between all age groups uniting those who lived through the original platform trend of the 70s and the younger audience who is getting their first introduction.
In conclusion there’s many brands who are making many types of platform sandals for every style and occasion. Including fisherman, clog, harbor, strappy, gladiator, etc I recommend getting out there and finding what works for you!
